Banquet Manager Job Overview

As a Banquet Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that meetings are well-planned and results-oriented. You will conduct frequent and thorough inspections of the meeting area to guarantee that it is maintained to high standards.

This role requires someone who can deal tactfully with guests and provide exceptional service.

  • Reports directly to the Director of Operations.\
  • Conducts regular meetings to ensure they are well-planned and successful.\
  • Inspects the meeting area to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.\
  • Ensures that all guest requests are met promptly and efficiently.\
  • Monitors ambassadors to ensure they adhere to operating standards and service culture.\
  • Deals effectively with difficult guests.\
  • Provides exceptional service to guests at all times.\
  • Sets up meeting rooms and maintains brand standards.\
  • Maintains working areas in good condition.\
  • Assists guests as needed.\
  • Cleans and prepares tables for guests.\
  • Keeps tables and service areas clean and tidy.\
  • Follows hygienic food service techniques during service.\
  • Takes responsibility for designated section and station.\
  • Trains team members to deliver consistent service.\
  • Meets all performance expectations.
\Requirements\
  • To be successful in this role, you should have:\
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role, preferably including 5-star experience.\
  • Professional image and presentation skills.\
  • Ability to train and develop staff.\
  • Awareness of industry trends in service, product, and presentation.\
  • Easily establishes rapport and initiates contacts.\
  • Effective time and work management skills.\
  • Strong numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills.\
  • Effective stress management and outlet for stress.\
  • Willingness to work weekends and public holidays as part of the job role.\
  • Ability to undertake further development within the company.
