Senior Operations Manager - Fixed Income Index Production

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead our Fixed Income Index Production Team. The primary goal of the team is to generate timely and accurate index data used by various clients to manage their passive and active fixed income assets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee a team of individuals responsible for the daily production processes for the acquisition and quality control of all datasets used to determine index inclusion/exclusion and aggregation including terms and conditions, weights, market data, forex, curves, prices, analytics, returns
  2. Play a key role in ensuring the team meets its daily deliverables
  3. Demonstrate expertise in APAC fixed income markets
  4. Establish and maintain relationships with regional teams, stakeholders and partners to ensure timely and accurate data deliverables to clients
  5. Manage client issues to minimize dissatisfaction and disruption
  6. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as Product, Sales, and Engineering, to ensure BISL is meeting the needs of its clients
  7. Stay up to date with industry trends and standard processes to identify opportunities for improvement
  8. Mentor direct reports to support their growth and development within the organization
Requirements
  • 3+ years of leadership experience, preferably in project management or team leadership
  • Proven expertise in data management principles and technologies, including data modelling, data analysis, statistics, and data integration
  • 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry, including exchanges, market data providers or financial institutions
  • Familiarity with fixed income markets, ideally within indices and/or portfolio management
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as Economics, Finance, Quantitative Social Science, STEM, or related field
  • Ability to establish credibility and build influential relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a solutions-focused mindset, supported by strong data analysis skills
  • Leadership ability in driving strategies, managing complex projects, and influencing change
  • Continuous career growth within an organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
