Overview
The Investment Product Specialist is part of the Investment Product Services (IPS) team within Capital Group’s (CG) Europe and Asia-Pacific business. IPS partners with Investment Specialists (IS) to deliver deep expertise on CG’s investment strategies both internally and externally. Collectively they are the voice of CG’s investment strategies. The IPS and IS teams are two sides of the same coin, with IS focussing on external meetings, and IPS originating investment insights for use by the IS team. IPS also plays an important role in thinking strategically about the growth and evolution of their product area, partnering closely with Client and Marketing teams to unlock additional growth opportunities.
The person in this role will take a lead role in representing a range of fixed income investment teams and products. The individual will need to be able to quickly develop a deep understanding of Capital Group’s fixed income range, investment approach, and an ability to synthesise information to enable CG associates to speak credibly to its strengths. In addition, they will partner with Investment Specialists to generate investment insights for our Client and Marketing teams.
This individual must also have two key qualities: self-motivation, and highly collaborative across multiple teams and geographies.
**Job Description**:
- Partners with the fixed income IS and investment teams to develop a deep understanding of investment ideas, strategy and positioning- Acts as the lead expert for their area of product/strategy coverage, primarily for internal business partners and selectively for external stakeholders as required, including a close partnership with Sales teams to respond to client requests and queries-
- Develops key messages to appropriately position and differentiate Capital Group’s fixed income capabilities and solutions, adapting for regional and/or investor segment considerations- Advocates for the fixed income offering, working with Investment Specialists, Sales, Marketing and other business partners to establish agreement on sales strategy, marketing approach and client requirements- Contributes to the analysis of market trends and competitive dynamics to understand investor requirements and how it impacts Capital Group’s fixed income offerings- Contributes to the overall strategy of Capital Group’s fixed income business, including new product strategy efforts- Builds positive working relationships with key internal stakeholders across Capital Group’s Europe, Asia and North American business through understanding their issues and showing them the benefits of partnering as a team
- In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings._
