Job Overview:
Aerospace Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Specialists play a vital role in ensuring the safety and integrity of aircraft and their components. As an NDT Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting non-destructive testing inspections on aircraft and their parts, utilizing various techniques to identify any defects or anomalies.

About the Role:
You will perform inspections both at our base and away from it as assigned by the Operations Manager, ensuring all work is completed promptly and meets customer delivery requirements. Your duties will also include:
  • Ensuring that your work is carried out to the highest standard and maintaining aircraft safety at all times.
  • Documenting all work on appropriate paperwork and signing off on a progressive basis.
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.
  • Adhering to company, regulatory, and Health and Safety procedures.
  • Following airport regulations and procedures.

Key Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Currently be qualified to EN4179 Level 2 in at least two of the following NDT methods: Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle inspection, Eddy-current Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Radiography.
  • Have recent documented experience of aerospace NDT inspection.
  • Be willing to acquire certifying staff authorizations.
  • Be able to travel for training and work purposes.
  • Have strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Be able to read and interpret specifications and technical instructions from relevant manuals.
  • Be able to work within a team and independently, with a self-motivated and flexible approach.

Desirable Qualifications:
In addition to the key qualifications, having the following would be advantageous:
  • Currently be qualified to EN4179 Aerospace Level 2 under SGNDTB in two or more of the following NDT methods: Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle inspection, Eddy-current Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Radiography.
  • Have working knowledge of aircraft structures and product technology.
  • Have previous experience in commercial aircraft maintenance and current CAAS certifying staff qualification.
