NDT Technician Role

The NDT Technician is responsible for conducting non-destructive testing on aircraft engines and components.

The technician must have a strong understanding of the principles of non-destructive testing, including techniques such as radiography, ultrasonic testing, and magnetic particle testing.

They must also be able to interpret test results and make recommendations for further testing or repair.

The NDT Technician will work closely with other technicians and engineers to ensure that all testing is completed accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any other related discipline
  • Possess at least 400 hours of performing FPI (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection)-Aerospace and at least 2 years of experience in dealing with aircraft structures, engines, and/or components, or acceptable alternative training or experience
  • Possess certification of a current NAS410 / EN4179 / PCN / ASNT or SNT-TC-1A
Preferred Qualifications

It would be beneficial if you had:

  • Possess good working knowledge of MS Office application (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and possess working knowledge of SAP
  • Good team player with strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
