Expert Non-Destructive Testing Professional

Overview:

The position of NDT Engineer requires a highly skilled individual to perform non-destructive testing tasks, ensuring the quality and safety of aircraft components. As an NDT Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining certification, performing inspections, and generating reports.

  • Maintaining valid NAS410/EN 4179 or equivalent Level II certification of NDT methods as required by regulations.
  • Conducting NDT system checks, technique writing, and inspections according to customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Ensuring NDT equipment calibration before use and chemical consumable shelf-life is within validity before use.
  • Generating and issuing NDT reports after inspection.
  • Managing NDT consumables inventory, including traceability of batch number and expiry date.
  • Overseeing NDT documents, including NDT techniques, chemical records, NDT process system performance, NDT reports, and job records.
  • Maintaining NDT facilities, general housekeeping, and managing NDT waste disposal.
  • Maintaining D1 Rating certifying staff requirements if appointed.
  • Assisting the NDT Level 3 in maintenance of NDT Written Practice and NDT Manual.
  • Reviewing revisions of Customer Standards and Specifications.
  • Developing NDT techniques sheets for new components.

Requirements:

  • NITEC qualification in Engineering or Diploma In Engineering
  • Possess NDT Level 2 (NAS 410/En 4179) in ET, PT, and MT
  • At least 5 years' experience in the NDT inspection for aircraft components
  • Possess CAAS M10 or CO1 and EASA M10 paper
  • Candidates must be able to meet near vision and color perception requirements
