The Role of a Banking Transformation Leader

This leadership position is focused on driving successful banking transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the analysis and design of core banking systems, as well as coordinating with vendors, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee functional analysis and solution design for core banking systems
  • Proposal creation, review, refinement, and presentation
  • Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery
  • Manage requirement gathering, gap analysis, and documentation (BRD, FSD, UAT plans)
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal governance
  • Support SIT/UAT cycles and post-go-live stabilization
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior analysts

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Finance, or related field
  • 5–12 years of experience in core banking transformation or functional consulting
  • Strong knowledge of platforms like Temenos, Finacle, CGI, or Flexcube
  • Proven experience in vendor management and project execution
  • Familiarity with BPMN, API integrations, and system architecture

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in leading multi-country or regional banking projects
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks and risk management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Certification in project management or business analysis is a plus
