Job Title:

Clinical Respiratory Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Respiratory Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary issues.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver advanced respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary issues.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services.
  • Conduct procedures such as Mechanical ventilation support/ Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)/ Assisting in endotracheal intubations/ Arterial blood gas sampling and analysis/ Assisting during bronchoscopy procedures.
  • Participate in ward rounds with medical teams to assess and optimize respiratory care plans.
  • Provide education and training to healthcare team members, students, and patients as appropriate.
  • Cary out basic maintenance and troubleshooting on respiratory therapy (RT) equipment.
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives in the department and mentor students.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Registered with valid AHPC practicing certificate.
  • Able to work independently.
