Key Responsibilities of a Respiratory Care Specialist

Delivering high-quality respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary issues is the cornerstone of this role.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Respiratory Therapy, be registered with a valid AHPC practicing certificate, and have strong clinical skills.

This position involves providing expert respiratory care services that are tailored to the needs of each patient.

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist who can work independently, engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives, and provide education and training to healthcare team members.

The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering basic and advanced respiratory care to patients, planning, implementing, and evaluating diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services, conducting procedures such as mechanical ventilation support, CPR, and arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.

They will also participate in ward rounds with medical teams to assess and optimize respiratory care plans, provide education and training to healthcare team members and patients, and contribute to the development of evidence-based clinical guidelines.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as the selected candidate will need to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
