Job Description:

The Group Compliance Director will play a pivotal role in leading the organization's compliance function, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

This senior-level position is responsible for fostering a culture of compliance and risk management, safeguarding the organization's integrity and reputation.

  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate compliance risks.
Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance Management:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of compliance policies, ensuring all assets adhere to relevant laws and regulations while effectively managing compliance risks.
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory changes affecting the business, ensuring timely implementation of necessary changes.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

  • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate compliance risks.
  • Oversee investigation of compliance incidents, provide guidance on corrective actions, and ensure proper documentation.

Training and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Design and deliver compliance training programs to enhance awareness and understanding among employees.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders regarding compliance matters.

Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Establish a compliance monitoring framework.
  • Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and the board.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or above.
  • 10+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs, preferably at group/regional level.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks, risk assessment, and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
  • Proven ability to lead strategic transformation initiatives and compliance technology upgrades.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, serving as the primary liaison with regulators and external auditors.
