Financial Collections Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Collections Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate collection of payments, maintaining good relationships with clients, and handling all AR-related tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Tracking & Management:
    • Monitor daily AR collections, update ledgers, analyze aging, and support credit/collection strategies with Sales.
  • Reconciliation & Write-Off:
    • Conduct regular reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, prepare reports, and assist with bad debt provisioning and write-offs.
  • Invoices & Customer Service:
    • Review, issue, and track invoices; handle customer inquiries and resolve invoice issues.
  • Data & Analysis:
    • Collect and analyze AR data, prepare reports on balances and overdue rates, and support budgeting and forecasting.
  • Risk Management:
    • Implement AR risk alerts, assess customer credit, recommend limits, and manage credit risk controls.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Qualification:
    • At least a Diploma in Accounting or Finance.
  • Preferred Qualification:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance / ACCA qualification, or related fields.
    • At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in accounts receivable or related fields.
    • Experience in the logistics or related industry is preferred.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIF, IF functions).
