Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our Wealth Management team at OCBC Bank. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and delivering technology solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of client requirements, market trends, and wealth management advisory best practices to identify areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions.
  • Design end-to-end solutions based on business requirements, ensuring they are effective and efficient in meeting defined objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies affecting the wealth management industry, and continuously monitor client needs to identify opportunities for product and service enhancements.
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on analysis of client needs, market trends, and industry insights, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on new initiatives, product enhancements, and business development opportunities.
  • Organize meetings and workshops with users and subject matter experts to understand business requirements, and collaborate with these experts to create comprehensive business workflows for the Business Requirements Document (BRD) and Functional Specifications Document (FSD).
  • Prioritize business requirements with Product Owners, balancing speed with thorough and meticulous analysis, and articulate business requirements to vendors, providing effort estimation and ensuring complete coverage of relevant business requirements.
  • Work closely with the IT development team, Application Architects, and vendors to deliver prototypes and evaluate them with business users to align expectations and solidify requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional team members and activities for business work streams or entire change and technology implementation initiatives, ensuring all business requirements are addressed within functional specifications.
  • Support Business Leads or user representatives in preparing training plans or materials, and user manuals, and assist Product Owner in reviewing UAT test artifacts like test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and data.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the wealth management sector, with a deep understanding of investment products, portfolio management, financial planning, and client servicing.
  • 8+ years of experience in investment products and business solution analysis, preferably in the financial services industry, with experience with technology platforms beneficial but not a primary requirement.
  • Experience in advisory platforms is preferred, and knowledge of portfolio performance, attribution, and valuation is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data from various sources, and solid knowledge of wealth management industry trends, including regulatory requirements, digital transformation, and evolving client expectations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner, and strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on identifying creative and innovative solutions.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment and familiarity with agile methodologies, and proficiency in using business analysis tools and project management software.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
