Job Title: Stone Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Stone Fabricator to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Stone Fabricator will be responsible for cutting, grinding, and polishing stone products. This includes operating bridge-cutting machines, profiling/polishing machines, and portable power tools.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience with CNC machines and knowledge of proper tool use. Additionally, they should be physically fit and able to lift heavy weights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cutting big slabs to size by operating bridge-cutting machines.
  • Operating profiling/polishing machines.
  • Cutting and polishing sink holes to templates.
  • Grinding and polishing edges with portable power tools.
  • Color matching various types of resin glues to match stones.
  • Sealing natural stones such as Granite after fabrication.
  • Self-inspecting work upon completion.
  • Cleaning equipment and workstation after work.
  • Working closely with co-workers, leaders, and Production Supervisor to fulfill all job requirements, production, and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Physically fit and able to carry heavy weight items.
  • Able to do basic mathematical calculations.
  • Able to work in and adjust to varying production timelines.
  • Able to work as a team player and willing to learn.
  • Possess craftsman ability to use portable power tools and hand tools to cut, grind, shape, and polish various types of stone products.
  • Experience with proper and safe use of tools utilized in fabrication preferred.
  • Can read and work from drawings and diagrams created manually or from a CAD program.
  • Prior experience with CNC machines will be an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge and prior experience of stone surfaces will be an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of the use of different products and solvents such as various types of adhesive glues, acetone, and denatured alcohol used for fabrication will be an advantage.
