Production Specialist Role Summary

The Production Specialist is a skilled professional responsible for operating various machines to cut, grind and polish stone products. They must possess a high level of manual dexterity, physical fitness and attention to detail.

  • Operating bridge-cutting machines to cut big slabs to size.
  • Profiling/polishing machines to achieve desired finishes.
  • Polishing sink holes to match templates.
  • Grinding and polishing edges with portable power tools.
  • Matching the color of resin glues to natural stones such as Granite.
  • Sealing natural stones after fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cutting big slabs to size using bridge-cutting machines.
  • Operating profiling/polishing machines to achieve desired finishes.
  • Polishing sink holes to match templates.
  • Grinding and polishing edges with portable power tools.
  • Matching the color of resin glues to natural stones such as Granite.
  • Sealing natural stones after fabrication.

Requirements:

  • Physical fitness and ability to carry heavy weight items.
  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Flexible in adjusting to changing production timelines.
  • Team player with a willingness to learn.
  • Skilled in using portable power tools and hand tools.
  • Experience with proper tool usage preferred.
  • Ability to read and work from drawings and diagrams.
  • Prior experience with CNC machines advantageous.
  • Knowledge of stone surfaces advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of adhesives, solvents and other materials used in fabrication advantageous.
