Operations Excellence Leader Job Overview

The Operations Excellence Leader is responsible for leading the production operations team to ensure efficient and safe food item storage, distribution, and delivery within the warehouse.

The role involves:

  • Strategic planning to optimize production processes, inventory management, logistics coordination, and maintenance of equipment and a clean environment.
  • Leading day-to-day warehouse operations to achieve high productivity, efficiency, and product quality standards.
  • Collaborating with the operations and production teams to meet production targets, product specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory levels, tracking expiry dates, and implementing FIFO systems to minimize waste.
  • Implementing effective preventive maintenance programs for equipment and ensuring timely execution.
  • Developing and managing daily, weekly, and monthly production output reports for senior management.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Production Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive production plans, aligning with business objectives and operational needs.
  2. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, track stock movements, and maintain accurate records to ensure seamless operations.
  3. Logistics Coordination: Coordinate deliveries, manage transportation routes, and optimize vehicle assignments to reduce costs and enhance customer satisfaction.
  4. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure regular maintenance, repair, and replacement of equipment to prevent downtime and maintain productivity.
  5. Quality Control: Implement quality control measures, monitor product freshness, and address any quality issues promptly.
Requirements
  1. 5+ years of relevant experience in food and beverage production, preferably in leadership or supervisory roles.
  2. Familiarity with food industry regulations (ISO, HACCP), and a strong understanding of cold storage requirements.
  3. Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  4. Proficiency in MS Office, inventory management systems, and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
