Job Title: Cross-Functional Commercial Strategist

We are seeking an experienced commercial strategist to lead our project commercial team and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex commercial projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to achieve project margins and maintain a positive cash profile.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders, including financial performance, risk management, and supply chain management.
  • Manage contract and tender documentation, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Process final account settlements and ensure timely payment to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or Building Science, with at least 10 years' experience in a similar role in the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with contract/construction law, including tender requirements, contract conditions, methods of contracting, value contract works, and claims experience.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong numeracy skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
