Job Role Overview

  • The Deputy Head of Home is responsible for assisting the Head of Home in managing the operational needs of the home and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head in managing residents' care plans in accordance with relevant SOC/SOPs.
  • Support the Head of Home in monitoring the execution and review of strategic plans.
  • Establish customer service standards for residents, stakeholders, government agencies, and the wider community.
  • Raise the profile and quality of care provided by the Home.
  • Ensure preparation of monthly and quarterly reports for internal and external parties.
  • Develop training roadmaps and conduct trainings for staff.
  • Oversee casework and counselling frameworks, maintaining proper records.
  • Plan and implement programs, including developing program budgets.
  • Liaise with government agencies and stakeholders on funding, regulation, volunteerism, outreach works, and integrated interventions.
  • Investigate incidents and conduct disciplinary actions.
  • Support PERTAPIS Headquarters and inter-departmental initiatives by planning event and fundraising project deployments.

Requirements

  • Minimum degree in social work or psychology, or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Basic knowledge of IT applications (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
