Residential Care Officer

We are seeking a dedicated officer to join our residential care team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the daily needs of residents are well taken care of, motivating residents through daily interaction, and overseeing security screening.

The successful candidate should have N Level, O Level, Nitec/Higher Nitec & Diploma qualifications, minimum 1 year of relevant working experience, and the ability to work on rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Past experience in the Military, Police and Prison Background is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure daily needs of residents are well taken care of
  • Motivate residents through their day to day interaction
  • Oversee security screening to ensure contrabands are not brought into the house
  • Facilitate the process of residents checking in and out of the halfway house on a daily basis and provide daily updates on the headcount and other activities/incidents (if any)
  • Refer residents' issues to Social Worker when necessary
  • Assist in institutional programmes such as outings (optional)
  • Oversee Halfway House estate management
  • Assist in monitoring of workplace safety and health standards
  • Ensure overall safety and well-being of the residents during programmes and activities
  • Work closely with Programme/Social Work team in case management of residents
  • Assist in handling any grievance procedure and carrying out preliminary investigation of incidents and/or disciplinary issues
