Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing funds allocated to a training institute
  • Oversee contracts and their appointment holders
  • Provide advice on finance processes and guidelines to units

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage operational budget
  • Ensure accurate financial records and proper closure of accounts at the end of each financial year
  • Take charge of the financial management system (NGPS)
  • Coordinate appointment of financial officers in relevant systems
  • Provide guidance and support to financial officers on purchasing and payment processes
  • Act as secretariat and organize and manage meetings, prepare necessary documents and record minutes
  • Assist in various contract-related tasks
  • Serve as Point Of Contact (POC) for audit projects
  • Manage a finance executive and assist in managing Full-Time National Servicemen (NSFs) assigned to the branch

Requirements:

  • Education in Finance, Economics or Accounting is preferred
  • Experience in procurement or contract management is advantageous
  • Thorough understanding of finance, contract, and procurement guidelines
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders
