Account Receivable Specialist

Job Title: Account Receivable Specialist - An Essential Role in Our Organization

About the Role:

This role involves managing customer payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and resolving disputes in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and record customer payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Update daily cash books and manage cash flow effectively.
  • Send monthly statements of account (SOA) to customers, ensuring timely and transparent communication.
  • Manage relationships with customers, resolve queries and disputes promptly, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve issues and disputes, promoting a collaborative and solution-focused approach.
  • Prepare weekly AR reports for review, providing valuable insights into cash flow and customer interactions.
  • Distribute and allocate customer funds to various internal stations, ensuring efficient and secure transaction processing.
  • Update foreign exchange rates into the in-house system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial information.

Additional Duties:

  • Arrange bank transfers upon receipt of payment requisitions, ensuring seamless and secure transactions.
  • Enter payment entries into the company system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Update staff leave and email GST payment status on Fridays, ensuring timely and transparent communication.
  • Reimburse staff claims and print out time sheets, promoting a fair and efficient compensation process.
  • Purchase pantry and stationery items as required, maintaining a well-stocked and organized workspace.
  • Accrue entries for staff claims and sundry creditors, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Attend workshops as required and handle company events, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
