Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Activity Engagement Professional. In this position, you will be responsible for planning and managing individual/group activities engagement sessions for patients under the instructions and guidance of the therapist and program executive.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage individual/group activities engagement sessions for patients.
  • Keep accurate records of patient's daily performance.
  • Maintain the logistics required to ensure smooth running of the sessions.
  • Transfer and porter patients for group sessions as needed.
  • Monitor patients' safety and well-being during activities.
  • Assess, report, and document patient's performance during sessions.

Administrative Duties:

  • Manage logistics required for sessions.
  • Perform simple data entry of patient's assessment score and performance into an Excel document.

Education and Training:

  • Train caregivers/volunteers on engagement activities.
  • Support program executives in orientating new volunteers.

Requirements:

  • Able to demonstrate strong planning and organization skills.
  • Able to perform simple data entry.
  • Good team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Self-directed and able to work independently.
  • Experience managing volunteers is an asset.
  • Previous experience working with palliative patients is an added advantage.
  • Manual handling skills are beneficial.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational and planning skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have good communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in managing volunteers and working with palliative patients is also desirable.
