Risk Management Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a Risk Management Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of the overall Group/Company Risk Management Framework.
You will work closely with the Chief Risk Officer to propose changes where appropriate and prepare, issue, and embed management directives. You will also act as secretariat to risk meetings and collaborate with other teams to incorporate functional considerations in the assessment of risk.
The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of the overall Group/Company Risk Management Framework;
- Propose changes where appropriate and prepare, issue, and embed management directives;
- Act as secretariat to risk meetings;
- Collaborate with other teams to incorporate functional considerations in the assessment of risk;
- Manage company portfolio risk, including timely preparation of risk reports and regular portfolio analytics;
- Engage with external industry bodies and business representatives to keep abreast of changes in the industry;
- Provide risk management training to other work areas, where necessary;
- Collaborate with other work areas to enable the Company's business strategy;
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accountancy, Quantitative Mathematics, or related field;
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in risk management or related fields (for experienced professionals);
- Fresh graduates with strong interest in risk management, preferably with at least 2 years of related experience (e.g., academic project, internships etc) (for early-career candidates);
Additional Information:
This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will be based in an oil and gas hub. If you are passionate about risk management and possess excellent analytical skills, we encourage you to apply for this role.
