Job Description Summary

As a valued candidate, you are being considered for a position within the Alight Inc group company. Please note that Alight has announced its intention to divest its Payroll & Professional Services business to HIG Capital. After the transaction closes, this role will be aligned with the new Payroll & Professional Services owned by HIG Capital ('Divested Group'). Job Responsibilities
  • Provide consultation and implementation of Workday Adaptive Planning to our clients, leveraging expertise in FP&A practices and planning applications to support organizational planning, calculation, and modeling.
  • Lead small to large client deliverables from start to finish, utilizing Alight's quality standards and consulting methodology, and effectively integrating with other areas across Alight and functions to provide a complete solution.
  • Consult on the impact of decisions on operating post-implementation and downstream systems, and manage self and team member(s) work to project scope, timeline, risk, and budget.
  • Listen to client requests, assess actual client needs, provide subject matter expertise, propose alternatives, and recommend solutions, and coach team members to execute same.
  • Articulate lessons learned from previous client experience, Workday best practices, and Alight's Point of View, and manage client expectations.
  • Proactively identify trouble spots for clients and recommend solutions, and significantly contribute to the development of internal resources via mentoring, coaching, and directing work.
  • Become an expert in the Workday product suite with a broad-based knowledge of human capital management or financial planning, and architect solutions within specific areas.
  • Participate in and may lead internal business initiatives to assist the organization in building our Alight brand and collateral, including internal domain groups, chats, and training.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding and champion project methodology and Alight best practices, and participate in building the Alight Brand by participating in Workday ecosystem product groups/chats and contributing advanced thinking and sharing of ideas within the ecosystem.
  • Develop working relationships with other members of the project team and management as well as external clients, share knowledge and information through regular communications and facilitation, and use strong presentation, communication, listening, and consultative skills to guide and drive discussions.
  • Participate in client sales meetings, assisting with collateral creation where needed.
About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Experience deploying Workday or other SaaS software or EPM solutions.
  • Knowledge and experience translating business requirements into system requirements.
  • Experience working in a functional EPM or planning role, preferably.
  • Consultancy experience, highly regarded.
  • Existing Workday certification, highly regarded.
  • Advanced analytical & technical skills, evidenced by experience playing a role in projects or in a business as usual role.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Good presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Experience confidently managing stakeholders.
  • A team-oriented approach, with a primary focus on 'we', not 'me'.
  • Self-awareness, with the ability to recognize personal skills, abilities, limitations, and strengths.
  • A natural tendency towards personal accountability and acting with integrity.
  • A demonstrated bias for action.
  • Able to self-manage confidently, with good personal productivity and self-motivation.
  • Relevant Workday certification, if not already held, must be attained and maintained to perform this role.
