Automation Quality Engineer Role

At our organization, we are seeking a skilled Automation Quality Engineer to join our Enterprise Platforms Engineering team. This role requires a passion for quality and expertise in test automation.

This position involves designing and developing robust automated test solutions across our platform. The ideal candidate will have strong collaboration skills, the ability to work with diverse teams, and a commitment to delivering high-quality enterprise solutions.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Design scalable and maintainable automated test frameworks for UI, API, and backend components.
  • Build end-to-end test scenarios using tools like Selenium, Postman, and Cucumber.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
  • Define test strategies that align with product and release goals.
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, and business analysts to review requirements and identify test scenarios.
  • Ensure test coverage for functional, regression, performance, and load testing.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs/defects through defect lifecycle tools.
  • Drive root cause analysis for production bugs and ensure test coverage is updated.
  • Conduct code reviews for test automation scripts.
  • Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate should have:

  • 8-10 years of experience in quality automation testing.
  • Hands-on experience in UI, API, backend automation (Selenium, Postman, Cucumber).
  • CI/CD integration experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
  • Strong test strategy, defect tracking (JIRA), and root cause analysis skills.
  • Skilled in performance testing using JMeter.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux, virtualization, SQL/NoSQL, Kubernetes, and networking (TCP/IP).
