Job Title: Senior Governance Officer

At our organization, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Governance Officer to lead our team in shaping the country's economic growth, progress, and stability. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact and be part of a diverse and dynamic team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Economics, Public Policy, Business Administration, Engineering, or related disciplines, with at least 5 years of experience in the telecommunications, media, postal sectors, or related fields, including supervisory experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Policy Formulation: Lead the team to undertake robust and deep analysis of policy and regulatory issues in the telecom, media, and post/parcel sectors concerning competition and consumer matters.
  • Policy Implementation: Ensure strong policy implementation of frameworks and regulations for competition and consumer policy matters. Enforce these frameworks when necessary, including assessing potential breaches of the Telecommunications and Media Competition Code.
  • Problem-Solving and Stakeholder Management: Manage and resolve cases by coordinating with stakeholders from various sectors, including the public and private sectors.
  • Whole-of-Government Approach: Coordinate with various government agencies and collaborate to facilitate infrastructure deployment, improving service quality.
