Job Title: Senior Governance Officer

This role involves overseeing corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements for an organization.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the development and implementation of corporate governance policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date corporate records, including share registers, directors' details, and other relevant documents.
  • Co-ordinate board meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is available.
  • Provide guidance and support to senior management on governance matters, including advice on compliance with laws and regulations.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership skills to manage a team effectively and oversee day-to-day operations.
  • Experience in managing various administrative functions, such as facilities management, procurement, vendor management, and office operations.
  • Financial management skills, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control measures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement solutions in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders, negotiate contracts, and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to corporate governance, labour laws, and environmental regulations.
