Cyber Security Specialist Job Role
As a cyber risk mitigation expert, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications. This involves conducting thorough security assessments, simulating real-world attacks, documenting findings, and providing recommendations for security enhancements.
- Conduct comprehensive security audits to identify areas of improvement.
- Develop and execute penetration testing methodologies to simulate cyber attacks and test the security of systems.
- Prepare detailed reports highlighting areas for improvement and providing recommendations for security enhancements.
This role requires a strong understanding of common vulnerabilities and exploits, as well as proficiency in using automated tools and manual testing techniques. You must also be able to work under pressure and produce high-quality content to tight deadlines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or a related discipline.
- At least 6 years of experience in IT, IT audits, or cybersecurity.
- Proven experience as a Penetration Tester or similar role in cybersecurity.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CEH, OSCP) are strongly preferred.
