Associate Director ICR Regional Controllership

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our team in Singapore. This role will oversee the Intercontinental (ICR) and China regions, managing key aspects of monthly and quarterly reporting to the Corporate Head office.

  • Support controllership responsibilities of Hong Kong and Singapore entities, managing month-end close and statutory audits in partnership with Global Financial Services (GFS).
  • Partner with other entities within the ICR and China regions providing guidance and support on US GAAP accounting queries particularly with respect to revenue recognition and related gross to net accounting.
  • Attend month-end review calls, seeking clarification from country finance teams on any unexpected variances or unusual accounting treatments; ensuring open issues are addressed.
  • Support the preparation of the ICR region consolidated financial reporting.
  • Conduct specific country balance sheet reviews and follow up on action items of country finance and GFS teams.
  • Complete consolidated forecast and actual working capital reporting per the agreed timelines with Treasury.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects to enhance policy, strengthen controllership oversight and develop efficient processes for reporting.
Requirements

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  • Significant and relevant experience in controllership, preferably with Big 4 training.
  • Proficiency in Chinese Mandarin (speaking) and Simplified Chinese (writing).
  • ACA or equivalent qualification.
  • BA or BSc degree in accounting or equivalent.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals industry a plus.
  • Experience with/in multi-national organization.
  • Ability to successfully manage the work of financial personnel and interact effectively with non-financial personnel.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven and multi-tasking environment.
  • Self-starter with excellent level of accountability.
  • Resilient profile with ability to deliver in an ambiguous environment.
  • Curious with learning agility.
