Procurement Strategist Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of market trends for commercial kitchen equipment and processing equipment.

  • Monitor market trends for commercial kitchen equipment and processing equipment
  • Develop an overall supply chain strategy
  • Create procurement systems for optimal inventory management
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and customer service teams
  • Determine key supply chain performance metrics
  • Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement timely solutions
  • Manage stock levels effectively
  • Source commercial kitchen and catering equipment from reliable suppliers
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best deals while achieving value for money
  • Work closely with team members to improve purchasing procedures
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers

Key Responsibilities:

  • A degree in mechanical, electronic engineering, or a relevant field is required
  • Data analysis and problem-solving skills are essential
  • At least 3 years of experience in equipment procurement, preferably in commercial kitchen equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess negotiation, presentation, and project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A positive attitude to learn and take initiative for improvement
  • Liaise with English-speaking clients and suppliers
Requirements:
