Content Lead

This is a senior role for a skilled professional to lead the development and delivery of high-quality content across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a proven ability to distil complex research or technical material into clear and engaging content.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading content strategy, managing multiple priorities, and delivering under tight deadlines. They will also need to collaborate with faculty, students, freelancers, and internal stakeholders to produce timely, accurate, and engaging stories about research, impact, and community.

  • Create and maintain an editorial calendar aligned with strategic communication priorities and events
  • Develop and implement a content creation plan to achieve business objectives
  • Manage freelance writers, editors, photographers, and other vendors to support content development across multiple formats
  • Track content performance and engagement analytics, using insights to optimise storytelling strategies and platform effectiveness

To succeed in this role, you will need a recognised degree in Communications, Journalism, Media, Computing, Engineering, or a related field, as well as at least 5 years of experience in content creation, editorial strategy, or digital media.

You should be proficient in data and analytics tools to evaluate content performance, and have familiarity with CMS platforms, social media tools, and content scheduling platforms.
