Join a dynamic team as a Product Controller and take on the challenge of managing financial control, independent price verification, finance due diligence, and business advisory to trading desks.

  • Take ownership of timely and accurate calculation, verification, and reporting of daily and month-end reports in conjunction with an offshore team. Develop and maintain relationships with the offshore team and ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Perform regular portfolio analysis to assess whether valuations are appropriate. Collaborate with senior management to discuss and implement mark-ups or mark-downs as necessary.
  • Critically review trading activity to highlight significant items to senior management. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Utilize strong interpersonal skills to work closely with Trading, Banking, Risk, Operations, and other corporate functions to resolve booking, valuation, and financial resource enquiries and issues.
  • Understand and critically analyze new financing transactions and perform finance due diligence. Assess profitability of trades in context of return on resources and identify potential implications on legal entity, accounting, treasury, and tax matters.
  • Represent Finance at various regional risk and legal entity committees to update senior management on business and portfolio performance.
  • Engage actively in new business and product launches and participate in global finance projects.
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 8+ years of experience in Product Control and/or Valuations with exposure to Credit products.
  • 3+ years of experience with illiquid and alternative investment products such as Structured Lending, Special Situations, Distressed credits, Private Equity, Mortgage products, Warehouse financing, or hybrid products.
  • Experience with valuation techniques of illiquid products.
  • Proven self-starter showing initiative to address issues as they arise and confidence in analyzing and presenting complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication skill for effective interaction with senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated outstanding leadership skill managing and developing junior team members, and ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders and display leadership qualities to make a meaningful impact.
