About Amazon Web Services (AWS)
At AWS, we are seeking Partner Solutions Architects to join our ASEAN Public Sector team. In this capacity, you will work closely with our AWS Partners, facilitating their customers' cloud migration and adoption journeys while supporting the creation of innovative solutions on the cloud, utilizing cloud-native services and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
As a Partner Solutions Architect, you will:
- Lead the technical engagement with partners, acquiring in-depth knowledge of AWS technologies and best practices for building applications and services on the AWS platform.
- Enhance the technical capabilities of partners, ensuring their success in developing and marketing cloud-based solutions to Public Sector clients.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including Partner Development Managers, Business Development, Professional Services, and customer account teams, to ensure mutual success for both customers and partners.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have strong customer-facing skills, enabling them to represent AWS effectively within a partner's environment and engage in discussions with IT leaders and senior executives. A solid technical background is essential for providing guidance to developers and architects.
You should be comfortable discussing topics such as Storage and Networking with infrastructure VPs, architectural design patterns with developers, data engineering with data scientists, total cost of ownership with CFOs, and cloud strategy with CIOs.
Essential Skills
A firm understanding of technical fundamentals and the ability to quickly grasp complex new technologies are crucial for success in this role. Additionally, the ability to think strategically about business and technical challenges, best practices, and trade-offs is vital.

Basic Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- 8+ years of experience in specific technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
- 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, or consulting on applications and infrastructures.
- 10+ years of experience in IT development or implementation/consulting within the software or Internet industries.
- Working knowledge of software and application design patterns and practices, including microservices, APIs, and messaging.
- Experience with IT infrastructure technologies such as Compute, Storage, HA/DR, load balancing, and networking.
- Understanding of technical security practices and technologies, including encryption, firewalls, and authentication.
- Familiarity with software development and deployment practices, such as CI/CD.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:
- Knowledge of data engineering and analytics technologies, including real-time analytics, ETL, and Machine Learning.
- Experience with Internet of Things (IoT) practices and technologies, such as device management, connectivity, and security.
- Understanding of system and data migration patterns and practices.
- Strong executive speaking and presentation skills, including formal presentations and whiteboarding.
- AWS or other technical cloud certifications.
- Other technology industry certifications.
- Experience working with Public Sector organizations.
- Presales experience.
