Maintenance Professional - Building Trades Specialist

Job Overview

Deliver high-quality move-in experiences, exceptional customer satisfaction, and personalized attention to residents by providing expert support for maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Market Ready apartments with painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping duties, and necessary tasks for a quality move-in experience.
  • Respond promptly to resident requests with a professional attitude and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Possess knowledge of maintenance functions such as plumbing, HVAC, basic electric, general carpentry skills, painting, and snow removal (if applicable).
  • Maintain grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities to ensure cleanliness, operational efficiency, and safety for residents.
  • Report any maintenance concerns on vacant units, models, and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance tasks assigned by the Maintenance supervisor.
  • Familiarize yourself with state, local, and federal fair housing laws to provide compliant service.
  • Participate in training programs as required by Cushman & Wakefield to enhance job performance.
  • Conduct tasks as assigned in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and represent the organization professionally at all times.
  • Dress according to established appearance standards.
  • Maintain and safeguard all company tools and equipment properly.
Requirements
  • Ability to read policy manuals, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals effectively.
  • Capability to write routine reports and correspondence accurately.
  • Capacity to understand and follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
  • Ability to address problems involving multiple known variables in routine situations.
  • Valid Driver's license is mandatory.
  • Competence in computing rates, ratios, and percentages, as well as preparing and interpreting bar graphs.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic operations using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals accurately.
  • Familiarity with and adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
Education
  • A High School Diploma, GED, trade, technical, or vocational school certification is required.
