We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Residential Youth Care Professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing daily care and supervision to residents in a youth residential setting.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, colleagues, and external partners.

Key responsibilities include:

">
  • Carry out daily operational duties and supervise residents in their regular activities;
  • Assist residents with any difficulties related to day-to-day issues and ensure their welfare and safety;
  • Promote discipline among residents and serve as a mentor/role model;
  • Assess, respond to, and handle crises or conflicts;
  • Conduct individual therapeutic interventions based on care plans developed by the treatment team;
  • Collaborate with the team to provide physical, emotional, spiritual, mental, educational, and social support to residents.

As a Residential Youth Care Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting the holistic development of young beneficiaries with complex trauma.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

">
  • Experience working with youth at-risk;
  • Basic processing and counselling skills;
  • Knowledge of common issues and disorders that appear in trauma and abuse;
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including 3-shift rotations and weekends/Public Holidays.
