Job Opportunity for AS400 RPG ILE Programmer

We are seeking a highly skilled AS400 RPG ILE programmer with expertise in core banking systems to join our team.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  1. Performing requirement analysis and impact assessment to systems.
  2. Developing and enhancing programs for core banking applications.
  3. Implementing solutions that align with the organization's business objectives.
  4. Conducting and supporting testing of applications.
  5. Reviewing and critically assessing codes to ensure adherence to good programming practice, security guidelines.
  6. Working with IT, operations, and business partners proactively, and contributing constructive inputs.
  7. Preparing and coordinating with related teams for production preparation and implementation.
  8. Preparing necessary documentations to align with development methodology framework.
  9. Managing deliverables on timely basis.
  10. Providing post-implementation support.
  11. Working effectively with IT and business partners in various stages of system development life cycle.
Requirements/Education

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 6 years' relevant experience preferably in a finance institution.
  • Background knowledge of Banking Technology (Customers, Deposit, Loans) of Core Banking.
  • Ability to cross learn new product domain knowledge.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience. Silverlake Banking system knowledge is an added advantage.
  • Good analytical skills and agile in handling multiple streams of demands from business.
  • Experience in dealing with different teams with diverse background/units.
  • Knowledge of waterfall and agile development management model.
  • Team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Can work independently and proactively.
  • Good programming skills.
  • Clear communication and concise documentation skills.
