Job Overview

Compliance Officer Role

The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies and industry standards.

  • Screen and onboard prospects and referral partners
  • Monitor existing clients for compliance standards
  • Implement, review and enhance the Compliance framework
  • Conduct post-transaction reviews
  • Track CPD training hours for licensed representatives
  • Prepare compliance reports for management review and regulatory submissions
  • Assess outsourced service providers
  • Provide guidance on compliance-related queries

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure ongoing monitoring of existing clients
  • Support the implementation and review of the Compliance framework
  • Carry out post-transaction reviews and audits
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on compliance-related matters

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline
  • At least 3 years of compliance experience in financial services or insurance industry
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and understand Chinese articles
  • Knowledge of Financial Advisers Act (FAA) and Balanced Scorecard (BSC) framework is an advantage
