Housekeeping Supervisor: Leading by Example

">About the Role

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you embody exceptional leadership and attention to detail. You are responsible for ensuring rooms meet our high standards of cleanliness before guests arrive.

You will lead by example, demonstrating patience and support as you guide and train room attendants to meet brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign tasks and inspect work to ensure compliance with established cleanliness standards.
  • Supervise, train, support, and monitor housekeeping team members.
  • Conduct on-the-job and in-service training sessions, explaining policies, procedures, and equipment use and maintenance.
  • Evaluate records to forecast departmental manpower requirements.
  • Advise management and front office team members on room status.
  • Screen job applicants, hire new employees, and recommend promotions, transfers, or dismissals.
  • Counsel team members on their work performance.
  • Ensure clear communication between housekeeping and other departments.
  • Report work orders to facilities for rectification.
  • Provide exceptional service to guests and colleagues alike.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient hotel operation by adhering to hotel standards and regulations.
