COGNIZANT TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS ASIA PACIFIC PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced technical support specialist to provide installation, move, add, change (IMAC), break-fix, and end-user support activities as required. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support for manufacturing "Shop-Floor" handhelds, laptops, and scanner devices. Additionally, the individual will perform data collection/preservation activities related to migrations and/or eDiscovery.

  • Provide IMAC, Break-Fix and end user support activities as required.
  • Support manufacturing "Shop-Floor" handhelds, laptops, and scanner devices.
  • Perform data collection/preservation activities as they relate to migrations and/or eDiscovery.
  • Offer smart Hands and Feet support for Technology team on demand.
  • Rack and Stack Support for commissioning/decommissioning infra devices to be provided.
  • Ensure physical access to vendors on demand for site/Communication rooms – IDF/MDF/MMR and Data Center/Server room.
  • Manage Power Shut Down maintenance activities including shutting down network devices and servers in Data Center.
  • Monitor Printer Management/usage and coordinate with Vendors to ensure print services continuity.
  • Coordinate cable patching with Vendors or enable on demand.
  • Evaluate basic Network connectivity (LAN), Wi-Fi access / Video Tandberg / Printer/ Voice are available at site.
  • Employ advanced Troubleshooting / Problem Solving capabilities to narrow down root cause of incident reported by end users for IT devices and mobility support/management.
  • Install and configure hardware and software components to ensure usability by end users.
  • Manage IT Asset lifecycle management for the location/region including asset collection coordination with vendor, secure storage, labelling, imaging, allocation, recovery, hygiene validation, disposal, and system updates.
  • Gain experience in supporting overall manufacturing/lab IT systems and IT devices.
  • Familiarize yourself with manufacturing, lab, or distribution center IT equipment.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Diploma or degree in IT.
  • ITIL and/or any other additional certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years desk side support services.
  • Advanced communications skills to work with multiple teams and/or OEMs on high priority issues.
  • Advanced Microsoft skills (server support, etc.).
  • Knowledge/Understanding of GMP and GxP.
  • Experience working in a Clean Room environment and/or Manufacturing environment.
  • A strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Analytic/Troubleshooting Skills.
  • Strong Communication Skills.
  • A strong understanding of MS Windows Operating Systems.
  • A working knowledge of MS Office and basic business applications.
  • Customer Support Skills.
  • Brief knowledge of networks, telecom, and compute/storage.
  • Advanced knowledge of MacOS & iOS environment & administration.
  • Understanding of MacOS imaging & end-point deployment process.
  • Brief understanding of policy, user certificates and keychains design, management, and deployment.
  • Mobile device support knowledge.

The estimated salary for this position is around $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
