Senior Executive Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Executive to join our team in the Department of Surgery. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact in the field of clinical quality improvement and benchmarking of procedures.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work with surgical champions to identify opportunities for clinical quality improvement and benchmarking of procedures in the Department of Surgery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with clinician champions to identify surgical patients for inclusion in the NSQIP program
  • Collecting preoperative, operative, and postoperative data components using hospital information systems
  • Attending weekly Morbidity & Mortality conferences to ensure reliable data collection of postoperative occurrences
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline data collection processes and improve data quality
  • Utilizing resources effectively to obtain valid, reliable data for entry into the NSQIP database
  • Using software applications for data collection and analysis
Key Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution
  • Nursing or medical background is preferred
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Meticulous attention to detail for accurate data abstraction
  • Proficiency with data collection tools, data entry, and basic statistical concepts
  • Basic understanding of surgical patient care, common procedures, and anatomy/physiology is preferred
