Plant Performance Engineer

Job Description:

  • Oversee plant performance in terms of process efficiency and energy consumption.
  • Compile, maintain, and analyze plant operation data to direct the operations team to optimize plant operations and meet key performance targets.
  • Develop and implement process optimization strategies to improve plant performance in the production process, water quality, and cost control.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in overseeing day-to-day operation matters to meet plant key performance targets such as dispatch quantity, water quality, energy consumption, and HSE requirements.
  • Prepare monthly progress reports and provide updates to various stakeholders.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with manpower planning and administration to meet operational needs.
  • Serve as a secondary point of contact with off-takers and owners on plant operation matters.

Job Requirements:

  • Hold a Polytechnic Diploma in Chemical Process Technology or Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or related engineering fields.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of operation experience, preferably in Water treatment plants.
  • Be proficient in reading engineering drawings (ACAD) & P&ID, computer literate, and familiar with Microsoft programs and other engineering software.
  • Knowledge or experience in SCADA/PLC control operations is an added advantage.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Able to work independently and effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Possess good leadership and communication skills.
  • Willings to support outside regular working hours to support plant operational needs.
