About the Role:This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of clinical skill, knowledge, and expertise in providing oral health care education and services to school-going children. As a Dental Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing essential dental care to primary, secondary school children, and pre-schoolers. You will also be involved in supervising junior dentists and Oral Health Therapists (OHTs) in their clinical work, managing cases referred by the OHTs, and conducting training for the OHTs.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing comprehensive dental care to school-going children, including routine check-ups, fillings, extractions, and other treatments as required.
- Supervising and guiding junior dentists and OHTs in their clinical work, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
- Managing cases referred by OHTs, including coordinating with specialist consultants and ensuring timely treatment.
- Conducting training sessions for OHTs on various aspects of oral health promotion and disease prevention.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Full registration with the Singapore Dental Council
- At least 5-10 years of full-time clinical experience after obtaining basic dental degree
- Proficiency in clinical skills and IT software/systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
