Oral Health Assistant

Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care in oral health.

As an Oral Health Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting dental professionals with routine examinations and procedures, ensuring treatment rooms and equipment are prepared and sanitized, and communicating effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of treatment rooms and equipment to ensure a safe and clean environment.
  • Assisting dental professionals with routine examinations and procedures, including preparation of instruments and materials.
  • Sterilization and disinfection of instruments to prevent cross-contamination and infection.
  • Communication with patients regarding treatment plans and instructions to ensure they understand their care.

Requirements:

  • A strong desire to learn and develop skills in oral health, with a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, dental professionals, and other healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software, with a willingness to adapt to changing technology and systems.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and evenings, as required by the organization.
