Pharmacy Technician Role Overview

About the Job
This role involves the processing of medication orders and prescriptions for both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Main Responsibilities
The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for picking, packing and labeling medications in accordance with stipulated policies and guidelines. Ensuring that stocks are properly stocked and tidily arranged according to First-Expiry-First-Out (FEFO) requirements is also a key responsibility.

Tasks Include
Performing topping up of omnicell ward stock in respective wards and dispensing medications to patients in accordance with established procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Prior Experience and Education
Candidates should possess Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPTC) or Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science. Completion of Basic Skill Test or Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPTC) is also mandatory.

Certifications and Training
Holding a valid certification in pharmacy technology and completing training programs related to pharmaceutical science can give an added advantage.
