Network Architect Specialist Job Description

Job Title: Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced network architect to lead our network infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, implementing, and managing complex network architectures to meet business requirements.

The successful applicant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement network security strategies, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of network documentation. Additionally, they will provide expert-level technical guidance and support to junior team members.

  • Design and Implement Complex Network Architectures: Develop and maintain comprehensive network designs that align with business objectives.
  • Lead Network Security Strategies: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement robust network security measures.
  • Maintain Accurate Documentation: Ensure that all network documentation is up-to-date and compliant with industry standards.
  • Provide Technical Guidance: Offer expert-level technical support and guidance to junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in network architecture and design.
  • Expertise: Expertise in network protocols, architectures, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, MP-BGP, EVPN).
  • Skills: In-depth understanding of networking concepts - Routing, switching, LAN/WAN, Spanning Tree Protocol, HSRP, ARP, VLAN, Inter-VLAN Routing, OSPF, BGP, VxLAN, Cisco ACI, VxLAN BGP eVPN, SDA, SDWAN, etc.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex network problems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work effectively under pressure and with minimal supervision.
