Research Associate Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Associate to join our team in Maritime Studies. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in data-driven ship performance analysis, maritime decarbonization, and digitalization to contribute to cutting-edge research projects.

About the Role:

  • Conduct research on data-driven ship performance analysis, maritime decarbonization and digitalization, methodology development, and application.
  • Publish findings in top peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
  • Collaborate with other researchers on project discussions and joint deliverables.
  • Coordinate the preparation of project reports and deliverables.
  • Support the preparation of research proposals and grant applications.

Key Requirements:

  • Must hold a Master's degree in marine technology, marine engineering, naval architecture, maritime studies, computer science, or a related field.
  • Excellent programming skills, such as Python, Matlab, C++, or other computer languages.
  • A record of publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals or conferences in the fields of marine engineering, naval architecture, and computer science.
  • Familiarity with ship data processing, ship hydrodynamics, ship performance analysis, machine learning algorithms.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English - essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
