Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Site Selection and Acquisitions Director to join our team in APAC. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the site selection and acquisition process for our data center projects in the region. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of the local market, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the site selection and acquisition process for data center projects in APAC, ensuring that all sites meet our quality and sustainability standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, landowners, and other stakeholders to secure suitable sites for our data center projects.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential sites, including environmental and technical assessments.
  • Negotiate with landowners and other parties to secure the best possible terms for our data center projects.
  • Collaborate with our internal teams, including strategy, market intelligence, sales, and corporate development, to ensure that our site selection and acquisition process is aligned with our business goals.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the local market, including trends, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Provide regular updates to our leadership team on the status of our site selection and acquisition process.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a real estate or site acquisition role, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Proven ability to negotiate with landowners and other parties to secure suitable sites for data center projects.
  • Excellent understanding of the local market, including trends, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the data center industry and its trends.
