Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned operations professional to lead our container shipping team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in liner operations, with experience in managing vessel schedules and optimizing costs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable performance of our liner services, working closely with internal stakeholders to achieve this goal. They will also be responsible for communicating accurate ETA/ETD updates to internal and external stakeholders.

In addition, the candidate will support the development of strategic plans to improve schedule reliability, collaborate with Line and Regional teams to assess and manage extra costs, and monitor and track schedule impacts such as off-hires, vessel stoppages, and breakdowns.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and self-motivated individual who is able to work independently and as part of a team. They should have excellent leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and adapt to changing circumstances.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in container shipping, with a strong focus on liner operations;
  • In-depth knowledge of container vessel operations, including marine procedures, bunkering, and chartering;
  • Degree from a recognized educational institution or relevant sea-going experience;
  • Experience in stowage planning and scheduling is a valuable complementary skill set;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiar with specialized software related to vessel scheduling and ship stability calculations;
