Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior F&B Assistant to join our team at Far East Organization. As a key member of our Food and Beverage department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring that every dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all payroll and uniform procedures are followed accurately and efficiently.
  • Review banquet event orders and follow up on all special requests to ensure seamless execution.
  • Complete opening and closing side work as assigned, and maintain high standards of table settings.
  • Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Answer telephones according to hotel standards, providing excellent communication and service.
  • Anticipate and meet guests' needs before they are requested, demonstrating a proactive approach to service.
  • Serve and clear food and beverage items with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Present menus and explain all menu items, including daily specials, to guests.
  • Familiarize yourself with wine lists and provide expert service in wine and beverage, including glassware and garnishes.
  • Utilize the hotel's computer system to ring up sales, print checks, and complete closing readings accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle money transactions and maintain a cash float, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
  • Assist in conducting opening and closing beverage inventory during your shift.
  • Organize and be responsible for final set-up arrangements, ensuring a seamless and efficient service.
  • Carry trays, bus, and reset tables with linens, china, glass, and silver, maintaining high standards of presentation.
  • Ascertain guests' satisfaction and handle any problems that may arise, informing your manager promptly.
  • Report any accidents or incidents to the F&B Manager or Assistant Banquet Manager immediately.
  • Recognize and address potential intoxicated, disruptive, or undesirable guests, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
  • Attend all training programs and departmental meetings, staying up-to-date with the latest knowledge and best practices.
  • Be prepared to be cross-trained in all Food and Beverage Outlets within the department and assist in any areas assigned by management.
  • Respond properly in any hotel emergencies or safety situations, prioritizing the well-being of guests and colleagues.
  • Attend meetings and trainings as required, staying engaged and committed to your role.
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Lead a team under your care whenever tasked, providing guidance and support to ensure success.
  • Plan and train new staff under your care, following standard procedures set by management.
  • Maintain operating equipment and report any issues to the Senior F&B Executive or Assistant Banquet Manager immediately.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Hospitality or F&B Service
  • At least 3 years of working experience in a relevant field
  • Positive attitude and team player
  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills
