Lead Trade Operations Specialist

DP World is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Trade Operations Specialist to join our team in Asia Pacific. As a key member of our trade operations team, you will be responsible for leading the negotiation of competitive rates and surcharges with carriers, including port-to-port rates and named accounts.

This involves managing and responding to tenders and contracts for local, regional, and global customers. You will provide leadership in product and business development to ensure carrier adherence to targets, while also building and maintaining strong relationships with ocean freight carriers.

The role requires experience in handling Indian Subcontinental (ISC) Trade lanes and a good understanding of Oceanfreight FCL Procurement. Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to analyze problems effectively and find the best solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee pricing strategies and respond to tenders and RFQs for both regional and global clients.
  • Act as a point of contact for customers, offering insights on products and market trends.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree/Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 5-8 years of relevant Logistics/Supply Chain/Freight forwarding experience with good knowledge of Oceanfreight FCL Procurement.
  • Experience in Indian Subcontinental (ISC) Trade lanes is a must.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze problems effectively and find the best solutions.
