Marine Propulsion Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Propulsion Mechanical Service Engineer to join our team.

  • This engineer will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of marine propulsion equipment in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commissioning of new gearboxes involving yard, basin, and sea trials.
  • Generating field service reports with photographs for clients.
  • Interpreting electrical drawings and troubleshooting faults on electrical systems.
  • Assisting the Workshop Manager in preparing parts quotations for purchasing spare parts.
  • Conducting daily toolbox meetings and ensuring compliance with workplace safety and health practices.

Requirements:

  • At least a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the marine industry in propulsion.
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting on propulsion-related equipment with minimal guidance.
  • Willingness to travel overseas for assignments.
  • Ability to deploy within short notice periods.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

This role requires a mechanical engineer with a strong background in problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
